- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 cups beef broth

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Preparation
- Step 1: Press the Saute button on the Instant Pot and heat the olive oil until shimmering
- Step 2: Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes
- Step 3: Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant
- Step 4: Add the beef tips and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes
- Step 5: Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly
- Step 6: Add the beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine
- Step 7: Add the uncooked rice and stir to combine
- Step 8: Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to Sealing
