Delicious Spaghetti Bolognaise

Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • fresh parsley chopped

Preparation

  1. Step 1: Finely chop the onion, garlic, and carrot
  2. Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat
  3. Step 3: Add the chopped onion, garlic, and carrot to the saucepan and cook until the vegetables are softened
  4. Step 4: Add the minced beef to the saucepan, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks
  5. Step 5: Once the beef is browned, add the tomato paste, dried basil, and dried oregano to the saucepan and stir to combine
  6. Step 6: Add the diced tomatoes to the saucepan and stir to combine, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes
  7. Step 7: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente
  8. Step 8: Drain the spaghetti and add it to the bolognaise sauce, tossing to combine
  9. Step 9: Season the spaghetti with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot topped with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley
